The Tooele Motor Vu has been a Tooele historical staple since its opening in 1949. Starting in May 2020 The Tooele Motor Vu Theater opened it’s location for its 71st season!
The Tooele Motor Vu has made some changes this year due to Covid-19. At this time they are practicing social distancing throughout the summer. The general regulations they are implementing are as follows:
- Guests are strongly encouraged to bring their own masks for their personal use.
- In all areas where lines can form, markings have been placed on the ground 6 feet apart to encourage social distancing.
- Congregation in groups outside of those that came in the car with you is not allowed.
- Receipts will not be given unless absolutely necessary.
- Other rules may be necessary to enforce comply with changing public health guidlines.
For parking:
- When parked you must maintain 6 feet of space between your group and the groups around you.
- Parking is (1) vehicle per stall in the first 5 rows closest to the screen tower, and two (2) per stall in the rear 3 rows.
- Parking capacity is limited to 200-250 cars based off compliance with this plan.
Moving about:
- When moving about the theater you must maintain 6 feet of space between you and other patrons.
- Only those that absolutely must leave the vehicle to visit the snack bar or restroom should leave the vehicle.
- Their snack bar menu is now available online to help you make decisions on what to order before heading insde.
- Walking around, running, playing football, etc before the movie may be restricted depending on how busy the theater is on a given night.
Restrooms:
- Restrooms will be accessible from the projection booth side only, no access will be possible to or from the snack bar area.
- Hand sanitizer is available outside the restrooms for customers use.
Snack bar access:
- The snack bar will be one way only.
- The snack bar entrance will be on the east side (screen side) of the building, and exit only on the west side (Highway 36 side) of the building.
- We are unable to offer refills on any items, including the bring-back buckets, at this time to comply with current health department rehulations.
- Orders will be taken at a single window and filled by our other employees to comply with current health department regulations.
For the weekend of May15th-21st 2020 The Motor Vu will be having a DC Comics Night!! They will be showing Wonder Woman and Aquaman. Both of which are rated PG-13. The show will start at 9:10 PM but please note that shows and times are subject to change without notice and provided for informational purposes only.
